The Synapsis Collective
As a Synapsis Collective member, you have access to our studio when classes are not in session and the studio is available. This time is yours to train, dance, meditate and produce your art.
For trained and experienced aerial members, we have rigging and equipment for silks, trapeze, lyra, aerial hammock and aerial rope. We have multiple crash pads which must be used when training aerials. Please ask for information on how to safely set up/take down aerial equipment.
For dance troupes or dancers, we have a large mirror, speakers, lighting and ballet barre. We also have yoga mats for stretching.
Collective members are required to pay a monthly fee to access the studio. Do you have to pay a monthly fee to go to our classes? Absolutely not! Feel free to drop-in to any class and pay only the cost of that class. Some instructors do give discounts for collective members (inquire per instructor).
We ask that collective members remember this is a shared space, and to respect it, keep it clean and leave the studio how you found it. Please also check the ‘Calendar’ link at the top of the page to make sure the studio is open and does not coincide with a scheduled class when you are planning to use it.

Where dreams are made tangible
Synapsis is a collective of performers and artists who are interested in shaping the way we experience the world. We seek to involve diverse communities and to develop new skills and techniques as we refine our art.
Aerial dance, contemporary dance, physical theater, and acrobatics are among our influences. Synapsis members work to bring new and experimental performance to Northern California, while cultivating work that is pertinent to a wider discourse about performance, art, and the nature of being.
We are now celebrating our 15th year bringing new performance to Eureka!
Many events at Synapsis Nova are organized through the Synapsis Collective, a DreamMaker program of the Ink People.
